Broadcast Technical Supervisor

We’re hiring a Broadcast Technical Supervisor to join a growing technical team working at the cutting edge of RF, IP, colour pipelines, and live production. If you're passionate about broadcast engineering and thrive on solving complex problems in fast-paced environments, this could be the role for you.

This is a pivotal role within an expanding service area supporting live and broadcast-style productions. While primarily office-based, occasional on-site technical support may be required depending on project needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, set up, and test RF and IP-based systems for live production environments

  • Interpret and help build detailed signal flow diagrams across SDI and IP infrastructure

  • Provide technical support remotely and on-site for live deployments

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex audio/video/transmission issues

  • Maintain quality control across vision, audio, and colour workflows (e.g. HDR, log formats)

  • Support remote and hybrid production workflows

  • Document internal systems and technical workflows

  • Stay up to date on emerging broadcast standards (e.g. ST 2110, AES67, NMOS, Dante)

  • Participate in workflow R&D and attend relevant industry trade events

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in live broadcast or RF/broadcast engineering roles (studio or field-based)

  • Proficient in wireless video systems: RF camera links, COFDM, frequency coordination

  • Strong understanding of IP-based infrastructure: ST 2110, AES67, PTP, VLANs

  • Familiar with colour pipelines: log gamma, LUTs, HDR, SDR, Dolby Vision

  • Working knowledge of Dante audio networking and NMOS standards

  • Capable of troubleshooting across SDI and IP-based workflows

  • Exposure to remote and hybrid production environments

  • Clear communicator with a proactive, problem-solving mindset

  • Knowledge of vision mixing systems and QC tools (e.g. waveform, vectorscope)

  • Willingness to travel occasionally and adapt to dynamic live production timelines
