About You
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Senior Pipeline TD to join our client's vibrant and dynamic team. Ample opportunities for growth and the chance to put your own stamp in helping lead the creative studio.
The primary objective is to ensure the smooth running of projects. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving issues as they arise. Additionally, you will serve as the go-to person for artists, understanding their needs and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
Based at our London Studio and following a hybrid 3/2 work schedule, we are in search of an organised and detail-oriented individual who is ready to tackle challenges and contribute to our client's success.
The Role
Projects can cover on-set graphics, brand, experiential and post-production VFX. It’s the job of the Pipeline TD to understand which parts of the pipeline are needed by each project, with the ability to:
Identify where to rebuild, maintain and grow the existing software pipeline while ensuring stability on live projects.
Work with artists and Producers to identify workflow and software support needs, then design tools to support those requirements.
Architect, develop and maintain the integration of Shotgrid in our production pipeline using Python
Be responsible for developing high-quality, stable code for use within Shotgrid.
Develop and maintain Shotgrid event handler plugins
Maintain internal documentation and educate artists on tools and workflows.
Create testable, efficient and reusable code by using best-in-class software development practices
Maintain regular communication with Leadership in order to address active production requirements
Configure the colour and delivery pipeline according to client delivery specifications
Create unit and functional tests with continuous improvement processes.
Required Skills
Python programming and nuke scripting experience, ideally in a VFX, Animation or Creative Technology environment
Experience in a VFX or Post Production Facility or similar environment.
Working knowledge of 2D & 3D software applications including Maya, Cinema4d and After Effects.
Experience with Shotgun and Shotgun Toolkit.
Experience in Javascript and Node.js
An understanding of video and image formats, resolutions and standards.
Experience with Python UI design with QT-based frameworks.
Experience in developing and maintaining a colour pipeline is desirable.
Experience writing plugins and scripts in Adobe's Extendscript is desirable.
Strong debugging, development testing, and problem-solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
